Ras Tanurah City Guide

Ras Tanura, (formerly Rahima) is a city located in the east of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which is a peninsula surrounded by the waters of the Arabian Gulf on three sides, and away from Dammam, the administrative capital of the eastern region, 70 km and located on a latitude of 26.40 north of the equator and along the longitude 50.10 east of the Greenwich Line. Its area is about 290 square kilometers, and its population, according to the 2010 census, is 60,000 people.
Ras Tanura's importance is highlighted by the fact that it hosts in its lands one of the largest oil refineries in the world, two ports to ship oil, a gas plant and another to produce sulfur, as well as the first and largest steam power station in the Middle East.
